Our Story

Edly was formed with an aim to solve problems in the Education industry, by building an AI based technology which transforms the way, how pupils access learning materials. In order to fulfil this vision, we have brought together a passionate team of leading experts from the Education industry, Academia, Educational Psychologists, Data Scientists, Technologists to build Edly. Together, we have combined the latest research in learning science, artificial intelligence and neuroscience to ensure Edly is an intelligent AI based tool which is able to understand each pupil's individual strengths, weaknesses and behaviours. It tailors learning content and assessment accordingly. It also supports parents, tutors by giving them data and resources to stretch and challenge every pupil in the most effective way. Edly is underpinned by evidence-based scientific and pedagogical techniques.

Edly's technology uses the latest techniques in Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning and Data Sciences to improve education and personalised learning to a level that was not achievable before. We incorporate proven principles from Neuro Science into our learning platforms We also use nudges and prompts around the learning outcomes to help build the pupil's become confident and independent learners. All our content was developed by educators for educators and pupils. Our platform provides pupils, parents with great support and outstanding customer care. Mahesh Yanambakkam, Co-Founder and Chief Business Officer

ROLE:

Mr Mahesh Yanambakkam's extensive leadership career over 25 years has included several senior roles in the UK International Higher Education sector. Mr Yanambakkam has founded and led a start-up within the UKHE ecosystem. In his previous role, as a Senior Regional Director, he was leading the University of Reading's strategy for Africa, Central & South Asia including developing new markets, building partnerships overseas and raising Reading's profile internationally. Having gained well-rounded leadership experience for over two decades, Mr Yanambakkam has successfully managed Global clients, led Large teams and contributed to business strategies with a passion to initiate new ways of executing business with higher returns. In his Leadership roles, Mr Yanambakkam has generated significant revenues to the UHEI's, and he has received honorariums on two occasions from the Vice-Chancellor for his contributions made to the University.

BIOGRAPHY:

Mr Yanambakkam holds a Bachelor's in Engineering, a Master's in Business Administration, a Leadership qualification from a prestigious business school in the United Kingdom and an AI course from a European University. Having travelled extensively throughout his career, he has a deeper understanding of various cultures, business processes and practices across the globe. Mr Yanambakkam is currently a Trustee of Pioneer Education Trust and the Chair of School Governors at the TLC Nursery Federation (Chalvey Nursery School & Slough Centre Nursery School). He has been voluntarily supporting multiple social causes through direct/indirect involvement with social concerns. He is married with two daughters.

Dr. Raghav Kovvuri – Chief AI Academic Advisor

Principal Advisor | Computer Science Lecturer | AI Researcher | Specialist in Explainable AI (XAI)

Dr. Raghav Kovvuri is a Computer Science Lecturer at University Centre Peterborough and a researcher in the field of Explainable Artificial Intelligence (xAI). He holds a PhD in AI from Swansea University, where he developed interpretability frameworks, including Controllable fActor Feature Attribution (CAFA) and its extension UCAFA. These methods support the creation of more transparent and accountable AI systems. His research focuses on improving the understanding of AI decisions, particularly in areas such as healthcare, finance, and public services.

Dr. Kovvuri is committed to addressing ethical considerations in artificial intelligence. His work highlights the importance of transparency, accountability, and trust in AI systems. He supports the development of responsible AI that respects human values, protects individual rights, and promotes fairness and safety.

In his teaching role, Dr. Kovvuri combines his research background with hands-on instruction to help students build relevant and applicable skills. He teaches a range of modules across Artificial Intelligence, Big Data, Full-Stack and Mobile Development, UX Design, and Ethics in Technology, where he integrates practical instruction with foundational principles of trustworthy and ethical AI.

As Principal Advisor, Dr. Kovvuri plays a key strategic and academic role in guiding the development of the company's educational technology platform. He ensures that the design and functionality of the tools are grounded in sound pedagogical approaches and reflect current best practices in AI. His advisory focus includes:
